Mmmmm, Chocolate
I mean lovely chocolatey alpaca. It's beautiful! We got a sneak preview of the scarf pattern on Mim's blog the other day, so I had been looking forwarding to getting our package. Now I'll confess I haven't even touched the spinning wheel since about October, so the Pygora is sitting on my work table waiting patiently. But, the alpaca may have just moved to the top of the spinning queue.
I've just registered for a class on Spinning Lavish Luxury Yarns at the John C. Campbell Folk School in early January. I'll really be able to do the exotic fibers justice after that!

More fiber?
Hello all!
Sorry I haven't posted about the recent fiber supply and there won't be any pictures of the finished yarn here either. I've kinda fallen into a lull as far as blogging goes, but my fiber activities are still going very strong! I plan to knit up some snowflake socks for my grandma, using the white cormo as the snowflake and the grey rambo as the main part of the sock. I'll try to take some pictures of the finished product, but I'm not sure when that will be!
Also, does anybody know when the next fiber shipment will be?

Cormo Subscription #2
Hey, ya'll - I haven't even touched the first Subscription that went out to us (Rambouilet) and my wheel was in a great place to start this last night. So, I am no where near done, but I thought you might enjoy a picture or two of what I have so far:
I really don't know how to figure out how to spin my singles to get to 15wpi, plied, I do know how to spin at 15wpi per single, tho. I am not sure what the wpi is with this, but without changing all my settings this is what I am getting!
I am not entirely sure I am a fine wool spinner! I really do, oh so much better, with medium and long wools! So, this is entirely out of my box right now, but the fluff is just so lovely isn't it?

Fiber Kit #2
Just a quick note to let y'all know that I've started shipping the fiber club installment #2 packages out today (about a third went out to the UK and east coast), with the other two-thirds shipping tomorrow and Friday.
This time we are highlighting cormo wool, and Mim did up a fantastic fun little pattern to accompany the kit this time around. There is enough roving to knit her pattern, and I also threw in a little extra (an ounce of a cormo blend), so you can either spin the cormo by itself to her pattern specs, or maybe try a 3-ply with the plain cormo and the cormo blend, or just try the blend by itself.
Please give me a holler if you have any questions when the packages arrive (which should be sometime early next week for the folks in the U.S., maybe a few extra days to the UK).
Thanks!
:) Anne
