Hello everyone and welcome to the Wooly Wonka Fibers spinning club blog.
Rather than send out group emails, this blog will be available for me to post updates about the club, answer questions, and allow a forum where y'all can discuss anything about the club subscriptions, as well as post pictures of finished spinning or projects.
I am in the process of setting everyone up as an "author" through Blogger so you can log in to this blog and post, just as if it were your own. (And it's free!).
Just to get everyone up-to-date: The rambouillet is here and I'm in the process of getting it weighed and packaged up for shipping to everyone on or before May 15th. It is from a small flock in Idaho and is very nicely processed. The pattern I've worked up for it is for a lacy ribbed neck gaiter. The pattern only uses about 1.5 ounces and the subscription kits will have 4 ounces of roving, so you may choose to knit up a couple of these for quick and easy holiday gifts, do a lot of extra sampling, or spin the entire 4 ounces for something completely different of your own choosing.
I'll be posting another update when the subscriptions are ready for shipping.
Thanks everyone!

Cool! But grrl...you gotta make this blog BLUE not green...just sayin'. Purple would be even better;-)
Ha ha! I knew Margene would be here first.
Looking forward to sinking my hands into the softness.
Just checking in...thanks for setting up the blog. And green, I love it. :)
I can't wait to start spinning!
Hi everyone! I'm really excited to get started. This will be the first time I've ever spun anything but wool! Also, I think I like the background, it's nice and springy.. and we all know there could be a little more of that going around.
How perfect! I joined this club as an early birthday gift to myself and it looks like my first fiber will arrive almost on the exact day. I knew there was a reason to continue celebrating the b-days!!!
Thanks for setting up the blog. I can't wait to see all the fibery goodness!
I am excited to have Anne's guidance in trying out the "good" fibers, so I will know to avoid the lesser ones:)
Looking forward to it, and hoping to learn a lot from this wonderful group of spinners!
I'm chiming in too! I'm looking forward to exploring the various fibers with a project suggestion for each. I tend to overspin everything so will look to you gals for advice. I'm self taught and while I'm having success want to improve my spinning.
Hi everybody!! Thanks for the invite Anne! I'm know I'm late to join the blog party but I'm waiting on pins and needles for our first Spinning Club package to arrive!! Hooray! :)
I'm getting quite antsy over here, waiting for the spinning package. I've put myself on a strict yarn and fiber diet (meaning I buy nothing) until I find a job. Funds aren't tight but I've nixed several of my fiance's spending wants and then looked back at my own purchases with a twinge of guilt. Anyway, I keep checking Anne's blog for any mention of the Spinning club but she remains eerily silent on the subject. I'm thinking she's either 'forgotten' about us completely and is planning to keep the fiber for herself OR she's intentionally keeping a lid on the topic so that we are that much more pleased when the packages arrive!
